San Mateo Gymnastics proudly presents our yearly Summer gymnastics Camps. At San Mateo Gymnastics, our camp is focused on learning and performing your gymnastics skills. Gymnasts will use all aspects of the gym including TumbleTrak, pits, trampolines along with other Olympic apparatus.

Daily Essentials

Daily essentials for camp

What to Wear

What to wear at camp - Girls
  • One piece leotard or swimsuit
  • Tight-fitting leggings/shorts (optional)
  • No skirts or socks allowed
  • Hair pulled back with soft headband or tie
  • Post earrings only (nothing dangling)

Notes

⚠️ Jewelry & Accessories Policy

Remove all jewelry and accessories around neck, arms, and legs. Post-earrings are acceptable, nothing that dangles below earlobe.

Medication

If your child takes medication, drop it off at the front desk labeled with their name. Speak with your child's instructor about the medication. We will help your child properly take their medication at the appropriate time and can hold it for you throughout the week.

Frequently Asked Questions

How safe is gymnastics camp?

We have highly trained staff that are able to coach and perform many of the basic gymnastics skills. Staff have been trained in correct landing and falling techniques as well as basic emergency procedures. Many of our staff were gymnasts and they have come back for the summer to do what they love best - coach!

What does my child wear?

Girls in a one piece leotard/swimsuit (tight-fitting leggings and shorts are optional). No skirts or socks are allowed. Hair must be pulled back away from the face with a soft headband or hair tie. Remove all jewelry and accessories around neck, arms, and legs; post-earrings are acceptable, nothing that dangles below earlobe.

What should my child bring?

Bring a filled water bottle, snack, lunch, and make sure all items are labeled with your child’s name. No glass containers. Lunches do not have refrigeration or microwave access.

Can I stay and watch my child?

Our camp is designed to be drop-off. For safety and focus, we generally do not allow families to stay on the gym floor during camp activities.

My child takes medication. Can they bring it to camp?

Yes,please drop medication at the front desk labeled with your child’s name and speak with your child’s instructor. We can help your child take it at the appropriate time and hold it throughout the week.
