SMG Level 10 Girls Team Update

SMG’s Level 10 girls were busy during the month of February, when they competed in three meets. On the first of the month was the Metroplex Challenge, in Fort Worth, Texas, where the four-member team (Madi, Maya, Lacy and Aya) delivered strong performances to capture the 1^st place team award. At this meet, Lacy also qualified for the Nastia Luikin Cup (to be held on March 6, 2015) by earning the top level 10 all-around score for the Senior level!  The following weekend, the five-member team (Madi, Gracey, Maya, Dare & Aya) competed in SMG’s home meet, the Winter Invite, where they earned the 2^nd place team award. On February 20^th, a six-member level 10 team (Vic, Madi, Cracey, Maya, Dare & Aya) headed to Los Angeles for the Gymnastics Legends International and came home with the 2^nd place team award following some amazing performances. Maya has also been invited to the Nastia Liukin Cup. While Lacy will be unable to compete due to injury, she will join Maya for the experience. Congratulations, girls, on a successful month of competition! Good luck to Maya at the Nastia Liukin Cup. The team will be competing next at the Delta Classic in Stockton on March 14-15, followed by the NorCal State Championships at the end of March. Go SMG!
