Congratulations Level 4 Girls on 2nd Place at States
Our Level 4 team finished their season at the NorCal State Championship on Nov 14-15 at the Red Morton Community Center in Redwood City. All 18 girls qualified and competed at the meet hosted by San Mateo Gymnastics. The team won 2nd place out of 27 teams with a score of 114.325. Twelve girls recorded season highs in the all-around including: Porsche, Kaitlyn, Alisha, Genesis, Gianna, Ava, Natalie, Neve, Kaleigh, Lily, Mia and Anika. For vault Kaitlyn, Alisha, Lydia and Natalie took home first place medals. For bars, Neve, Kaitlyn, Gianna and Natalie placed first. For beam, Porsche, Kaitlyn, Gianna and Lydia placed first. Porsche had the highest beam score of the meet (9.70). For Floor, it was Porsche, Lydia, Mia and Ava winning state championships. Finally, four girls won state championships and took home first place medals for the all-around including Kaitlyn, Lydia, Ava and Natalie. Out of 269 girls competing, six SMG girls placed in the top 25 for the all-around including: Porsche, Kaitlyn, Lydia, Alisha, Genesis and Gianna. Kaitlyn and Porsche tied for the 3rd highest all-around score of the meet (38.075) and qualified for a place on the state team.
