Successful San Carlos Hometown Days Fundraiser
SMG Boosters hosted a Pizza & Ice Cream fundraiser at San Carlos Hometown Days last weekend and it was a great success!
We sold pizza throughout the weekend and had a quickly-moving line much of the time. People complimented us on our tasty product, and our biggest challenge was keeping up with the strong demand. We also partnered with Jubilee Ice Creamery, who sold delicious soft serve and is donating 30 percent of their sales to SMGB. Thank you Jubilee Ice Creamery!
Gymnasts and parents staffed the pizza booth all weekend. Special thanks to the Cape, Fong, Soberanis, Codina & Young families for volunteering their time, and huge thanks to Bill Harrold for stepping up to chair the fundraiser at the last minute. He put in a ton of time, did a great job, and even offered to chair it again next year. Thank you, Bill!
Our profits for this fundraiser totaled about $3,000 which, like other SMGB funds raised, will help support our competitive teams by paying coaches fees and travel expenses.
