SMG Level 3 Team takes 1st Place at the Teddy Bear Classic

Congratulations to the Level 3 team for taking first place at the Teddy Bear Classic home meet this past weekend. Quincy earned the highest AA score (38.075) of all 359 athletes competing over the weekend. Way to go, Quincy! Also in the younger division, Alishia placed in all four events, earning 3rd place AA. In the middle division Kaitlyn F. took first place and Anika took third, and in the older division, Porche nearly swept the first place medals, including first place AA. It was also exciting to see several of the girls for the first time compete their bar routine with the kip, a skill that is not required but is more advanced than the glide swing to pullover that most L3 athletes compete.

The girls have just one more meet before the State competition in November. It is an exciting time as they work hard to prepare!
