San Mateo Sends Three Gymnasts to National Elite Qualifiers.
Last weekend after competing JO at the Gliders Invitational, Myli Lew (L10) and Ally Demilio (L8), along with elite bound Mia Heather competed at National Elite Qualifiers in Covina, California. All three gymnasts earned a compulsory score qualifying them to compete in the optional qualifiers. Competing in the optional qualifiers at the same meet, Myli placed 3AA and Mia tied for 5th. Myli’s score qualified her to compete in the Hopes Classic. These three gymnasts will continue to compete in qualifiers this year with the chance to advance to the Hopes, American, or US Classic meets. The American and US Classic meets are qualifying meets for the US Gymnastics Championships in August.
